Coming Back: Conversations on life after loss

Jul 11, 2018

Chelsea Leigh Trescott broke up with a life that wasn't serving her. After leaving home for college, Chelsea found herself in the thick of depression, anorexia, and a string of long-distance relationships—triggered by the massive fear of not living up to others' expectations. Learning to face her loss of identity, connection, time, and self-respect led her to start Breakupward, a movement and coaching practice that encourages men and women to "break up" with the beliefs and people that no longer serve them. We're talking about cutting ties with addiction and disorder, the slow practice of becoming (one day at a time!), and how grief gives us more access to life. Also this week, the relationship between grief and sex—why some people have sex while grieving... and why some people don't.
